WHEN YOU PRAY....DAILY BREAD.

 When You Pray…

 Give us today our daily bread. Matthew 6:11.

Child, your Father understands all your daily needs. Yet He also knows that you worry about not having your daily needs supplied. He delights in you when you openly share your heart’s desires with Him in prayer. He wants you to be completely honest in sharing what you want, even if you are afraid it might be against His will. For a brief time in Gethsemane, I wanted to be spared the terrible agony that was in front of Me. But soon after I prayed for My will, His peace flowed into My Spirit, and My desire changed to wanting His will. I could then honestly ask for His will even though I was dreading what lay ahead. I knew I would become the sin I had never known. I knew I would be separated for the first time ever from My Father. Child, your Father does not supply the grace you need until the moment you need it. You need not ask for next week’s needs to be met, because you can live only one day at a time. He wants you to know the daily joy that comes only by trusting Him each day. He delights in your daily dependence on Him. Oh, how He loves you!

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar!
