BEARING FRUIT.

Hearing, Understanding, and Bearing Fruit  But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Matthew 13:23 

Child, you have heard My words. You have understood My message of the Father’s boundless love for you. You have understood His righteousness and judgment. You have understood that your sin created an impossible debt and that the Father chose Me to lay down My life as a ransom for you. You understand My call to deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Me. Yet I know you struggle in your efforts to deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Me. Don’t be discouraged. All My followers struggle against powers and principalities. We are plundering Satan’s kingdom, and he does not surrender his subjects without a fight. I have called you to stand against the strength of your old nature and the attractions and influences of the world. None of this happens without a struggle. But you are the good soil. To win your battles, you must daily sow My words into your heart. The Holy Spirit will then use My words to guide you and produce His fruit in your life.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. John 15:16.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar!
