CHOKED BY LIFE'S WORRIES.

Choked by Life’s Worries The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. Matthew 13:22 

What distractions and obstacles keep you from following Me with your whole heart? What prevents you from bearing much fruit for My Father’s kingdom? Is it not all the time you spend worrying about the temporal things of life? Most of the things you worry about are of little importance to the kingdom. My Father’s will for you is that you bear much fruit. He wants you to love others with His unconditional love. He wants you to be an example of His righteousness in this world. He wants those who see you to see His mercy in the ways you show mercy. He wants others to see His generosity in the ways you are generous with your time and possessions. He wants people to see His compassion in the ways you show concern and care. He wants you to be a beacon of truth to those who live in darkness. But none of this will happen if you continually focus on the worries of this life. Instead, take your eyes off yourself and set your focus on Me.

In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. John 14:20.

Called to Be Wise.  Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16. As it is written, “How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.” Understanding is knowing the ways of the Father. Wisdom is knowing how to walk in the ways of the Father in every moment. Ignorance is not knowing the ways of the Father, and foolishness is choosing to walk in your own ways rather than the Father’s ways.
