TAKE COURAGE!

Courage to Replace Your Fears Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid. Matthew 14:27 

It was the middle of the night, and the sea was rough. When My disciples first saw Me walking on the water, they thought I was a ghost. I told them to be courageous and cheerful. I told them, “It is I” and gave them a simple command: “Don’t be afraid.” And so it is with you. You never have to be afraid. Whenever you see adversity ahead, it is only natural to feel afraid.

But whether the adversity you see is far off or just around the corner, I want you instead to see Me. Even in the middle of your greatest trial, you can know that I am with you. No storm that comes your way has taken Me by surprise. I knew about it before you were born. It’s okay that fear might get the best of you for a moment. But open the eyes of your spirit and see Me. I am here! Run to My promises, and dwell in them for as long as it takes. I will talk to you and reveal My presence. I will show you how to walk close to My side, and we will pass through your storm together.

Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29–31.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you.
