LIVING WATER.

Fulfillment That Never Fades  Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. John 4:13–14 

Has the joy that once filled your life faded? That happens when you fail to rely on Me for your fulfillment. Although you find things that promise to fulfill you, they all fade. Relationships lose their luster as hurtful flaws begin to appear. Even religious activities may quickly become mere routine. Child, there is only one place from which you can draw living water, which will satisfy your deepest longings. I am the only Source of living water. Look at My life and listen to My words. The water of My words will cleanse you from all unrighteousness and guilt. It will flush fears from your mind. My promises will flood your heart with peace, even in the midst of your greatest storms. If your soul is not continuously filled with My love and joy, it’s simply because you are not drawing from My well. Stop drawing water that does not satisfy, and come to Me.

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light. Matthew 11:28–30.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar!
