THE POWER OF MY WORDS.

The Power of My Words  For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say. John 12:49–50 

On earth I was not merely a teacher passing along information. I didn’t say what I said so people could simply consider My words but so they could do them. The truth is, My Father sent Me to earth to accomplish everything He wanted Me to accomplish. I did everything He commanded Me to do and said everything He commanded Me to say. That’s why My words are so critical to your daily life and to your eternal life as well. They are not My words only; they are the words of your almighty Father. They will perform their miraculous power in you if you will abide in them. My words will never fail. But if you don’t know them, you rob yourself of knowing the ultimate truth, the solutions to your problems, and the source of your faith. By not doing them, you deprive yourself of the powerful miracles they would work in your life. Child, hear My words and do them!

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24–25.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. Matthew 6:1–2. I have called you to follow Me. I have called you to be a light in the midst of darkness so others can see your works of righteousness and glorify God. The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar! Because you have been born of the Spirit and have the Holy Spirit with you and in you, you do have the power to be more like Me.
