WHAT DO YOU BENEFIT ?

Don’t Trade Your Greatest Possession for Worthless Gain  And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? Matthew 16:26. 

My dear one, are you distracted or seduced by the treasures of this world? Do you spend your time pursuing the things of this life and neglect your own soul? People often value that which has no worth beyond this life. No matter how much they gain, they always hunger for more. They love the things of this world rather than My Father, Me, and that which is of eternal worth. They have truly lost their souls. Child, don’t be fooled. This world is not your home. Your soul is your most precious possession. Nourish it with My words—morning, noon, and night. Don’t envy those who trade their souls for the things of this life. All their pleasures will come to an abrupt end, and their woes will last for eternity. When you feast on My words, they will provide the food that will keep your soul healthy and strong, and your heart will be yoked to Mine. My Father and I will become your true delight, and you will be like a giant tree planted by the waters. You will store up treasures in heaven that will bless you and others throughout eternity.

A man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. Luke 12:15.

WHERE IS YOUR HEART?

Where Is Your Heart?  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:21. The greatest commandment begins with “Love the Lord your God with all your heart.” This is so important because all behavior flows from your heart. Anything you treasure more than the Father will prevent you from loving Him with all your heart. This is because your heart focuses on that which you treasure and becomes bonded to it. That prevents you from becoming bonded to God. You may ask, “How can I treasure God more than anything else?” It happens when you get to know Him as He really is.  The more you get to know the Father, the more you will treasure Him. The only way to get to know Him intimately is to look at My life and hear My words and do them. When you listen to Me, you will hear the Father. Adding Faith to Your Prayers   I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. My disciples often struggled with misunderstandings and inconsistent experiences with faith. They prayed but often without believing they would receive what they asked for.
