YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

 You Are a Light .

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14–16, 

While I was on earth, I was the Light of the World. My life demonstrated who God is, and My words proclaimed all that He desires. Those who don’t know Me are lost in darkness. Child, you and all My followers are now the lights in the world. Since those in darkness can’t see Me, you are their only hope of finding Me. If you will let your light shine, they can see My love in the way you honor them. They can see My mercy in the way you deal with their faults. They can see My forgiveness in the way you forgive them. In you, they can find a faithful friend who gives them a glimpse of My unconditional love. In you, they can see righteous behavior that rises above the moral depravity of the world. In you, they can see generosity instead of greed, contentment instead of envy, and peace instead of aggression. In you, they can see concern instead of indifference. Be My light so others may see Me in you!

Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you. John 20:21.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you.
