YOU MUST TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SELFISH.

 Your Life with Me Is More About Us Than You  If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23.

While I was on earth, many people followed Me to see My miracles and hear My words. But when they finally understood what it really meant to be My follower, most departed. They counted the cost, and the cost was too high. They preferred a life focused on satisfying their own desires over one that would lead to eternal life. Following Me includes carrying a cross— setting aside your desires and your “rights” in order to do that which is pleasing to your heavenly Father. You have been purchased at a great price —My blood. You have been called to a purpose that glorifies the Father. Realize there are unimaginable blessings when you take up your cross daily.

Because you are giving up your rights, you will receive everything as a gift from your loving Father. You will be able to thank Him in all circumstances. Your gratefulness will produce a joy that no one can take away. However, if you find yourself sad, discouraged, or angry, know that it’s because you laid down your cross and picked up your rights. Repent and re-yield your rights to Me. You will experience My Father’s love and My presence like never before.

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. John 12:26.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you.
