GUARD YOUR HEART...

Guard Your Heart by Protecting Your Eyes Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is bad, your whole body is filled with darkness. Matthew 6:22–23.

As it is written, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Now that you have given your heart to Me, it is critical that you diligently protect it. Your eyes are the windows of your mind and heart. What you see enters your mind and then quickly flows into your heart. Because your behavior flows out of your heart, the best way to protect your heart from evil is to carefully control what you allow yourself to see. If you set your gaze on things that reflect the world’s dark influences, the dark influences will enter your mind and heart. The longer you allow them to remain in your heart, the more dominant they will become over your thinking, feelings, and actions. The darkness can steal your life and destroy your relationships. It can destroy your impact for the kingdom. Worst of all, it can obstruct your intimacy with Me. Child, flood your heart with the light of My words. They will expel the darkness and cleanse your heart from all unrighteousness.

And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! Matthew 6:23.
