STRENGTHENING THE WEAK.

Strengthening the Weak And you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers. Luke 22:32.

On the night of My arrest, I told Peter that he would soon deny his relationship with Me. I also knew that in time he would repent and turn back to Me in faith. But coming back to Me wasn’t the end; it was the beginning. You see, his coming back wasn’t just about him; it was about his ministry with My other followers. Child, the same is true with you. I know there have been times when you, too, have turned your back on Me, choosing to put your desires above Me and My calling on your life. My word to you is the same as My word to Peter: returning to Me isn’t the end; it’s the beginning. I don’t want you to focus only on yourself. I want you to strengthen My followers. Let them see how My words apply to their issues and choices. Let them see Me in the way you live your life. In addition to proclaiming My love and mercy, lead and teach them to abide in Me. Love them unconditionally, not with your feelings but with your behavior. As you strengthen your brothers and sisters, you are storing up treasures in heaven.

And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded. Matthew 10:42.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar!
