ADDING FAITH.

Adding Faith to Your Prayers I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:23–24.

My disciples often struggled with misunderstandings and inconsistent experiences with faith. They prayed but often without believing they would receive what they asked for. Initially they didn’t understand the nature of faith—what it is and where it comes from. Today many of My followers have the same problem. They think faith is simply a matter of mental agreement or positive thinking. But mental assertion alone does not produce the kind of faith that transforms lives and moves mountains. That kind of faith must live and grow in your heart. When you believe in Me in your heart, you gain a driving hunger to know My words. As you learn My words and obey them, the seed of faith grows, and your life is transformed. Your greatest fears are replaced by faith and the peace and confidence it brings. As you abide in My words and do them, I will reveal Myself to you, and you will know My will for every situation you encounter.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you.
