BE LIKE ME.

Be Like Me Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29.

Because I have called you to store up treasures in heaven, I want you to understand how to do that. The Father wants you to become more like Me each day. He sent the Holy Spirit to reproduce My life in you. He desires that others will come face to face with His loving-kindness, righteousness, wisdom, and justice through you. The fastest way to accomplish this is for you to harness yourself to Me. When you and I are harnessed together, you will go My way instead of yours. Instead of relying on your own strength, you will rely on Mine. Instead of doing your will, you will do Mine. To do this, you need to daily fill your mind and heart with My words. As you do, the Holy Spirit will perform His ministry in your mind and heart. He will bring My words to your memory and apply them to whatever situation you are in. He will empower you with the grace you need to apply My words to your life, moment by moment. He will grant you the faith you need to take each step with Me. And in all of this, He will reproduce Me in you, and our wonderful Father will be glorified.

On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. John 14:20.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar!
