A Reason to Rejoice All Day, Every Day

Stop grumbling among yourselves....No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:43–44.

Do you understand what I have done for you and what I’m going to do? If you really understand, you will be overflowing with joy. When I healed a man who was born blind, he was so excited he couldn’t stop talking about Me. But that miracle can’t compare to what the Father and I have done for you. You were dead in sin, and yet the Father drew you to Me and gave you a new birth. Had He not drawn you to Me, you would have remained separated from Him and His kingdom forever. On top of all this, I am going to raise you from the dead. Realize that all your troubles are temporary. Child, I want you to live in a moment-by-moment awareness that what We have done for you is eternal. When you complain, you are choosing to belittle  the  Father  and  Me  and  Our  priceless  gifts  to  you.  So  stop complaining. Continually set your focus on the Father and Me and the greatness of your salvation. Choose to rejoice throughout today and every day.

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven. Luke 10:20.

Secretly Do Good Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites  do—blowing  trumpets  in  the  synagogues  and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. Matthew 6:1–2. I have called you to follow Me. I have called you to be a light in the midst of darkness so others can see your works of righteousness and glorify God. But I have not called you to be like the ancient Pharisees, who performed religious works and duties hoping to be seen by others. The Right Way to Give. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be  in  secret.  Then  your  Father,  who  sees  what  is  done  in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:3–4. I know you want to be more like Me. And yet the enemy of your soul whispers to you that it’s hopeless, that you aren’t good enough and you don’t have the power to change. He’s a liar!
